HIGHGUARD - SLADE
Slade is our magma dude. Growing up in the streets of Halcion, Slade didn’t have an easy upbringing. He had to learn how to survive and fed for himself very early on. His magma powers didn’t go unnoticed and ended up becomming one of the most famous fighters in the underground fighting pitts of the capital. People in the city known him by his nickname “the red dragon”. He proudly carries his logo in his back, loves being recognized and have a bit of a fame moment.
His humor, wittiness and a bit of arrogance makes him the charmer you hate to be around but want to be at the same time.
Slade likes nothing more than good coin at the end of the day. That and the exhileration of an enemy fight is what brought him to the Iron Vigil.

Slade’s design is simpler than others, but his personality is big. We wanted to lean onto the fighter+magma combination giving him magna “gaultlets” and making them a big focal point of the design.
On his clothing language, we wanted to make it look like its internal languate reminds of dripping lava. And showcase his “full of himself” personality exposing his arms and giving him his logo on the back of his vest making him even a little bit tacky.
